Does it cost more to buy a car out of state?

Not necessarily. If you were planning to buy a Hyundai in your state and choose to buy a Maserati in a different state, of course it’s going to cost more. However, you’re likely looking at buying a car out of state because you found a great deal on one of the quality cars for sale at Richmond Car and Truck Center. In that case, there is no “in-state” vs “out-of-state” price, just one fair, market-rate price for all our customers.

Are there different cars for sale online vs at the dealership?

No, we carry all our inventory online so it’s easy to shop on your phone, tablet, or computer from wherever you are.

Can I still trade-in my old car?

Definitely! We’d love to take your old car, truck, or SUV as a trade-in whether you’re buying from Kentucky or another state. As an added bonus, you’ll save on Kentucky sales tax on the purchase of your new vehicle by trading in your old car.

Do I need to use your financing if I buy from out of state?

It’s not a requirement, but we’d love the opportunity to get you pre-approved for a car loan and show you our best rates. That said, we can work with your auto loan lender of choice to help you secure the vehicle you want.

Can I have a car shipped to me?

Absolutely! We’re happy to offer free shipping for up to 250 miles from our dealership which includes Lexington, Cincinnati, Louisville, Huntington, Knoxville, and many more areas. If you’re located farther away, you can always get a free shipping quote on any of our vehicles by clicking on the “Home delivery” link on the vehicle details page.
